When will people learn that sitting outside a building holding pacifist-friendly signs when they could be either working or looking for work will not earn them money? I swear, my girlfriend defends the Occupy movement/s, and I think it's bullshit.
It's just college liberal stoners who want more money for less work due to their entitled personalities. I'm going into college and I know that when I get out, there won't be a six-figure job waiting for me. Heck, I'll be lucky if I get low five-figures. It's just how the world works and these people getting arrested are doing nothing but sticking their fingers in pies that they shouldn't even be in. None of these people know anything about world and national economy or finance past what they've seen on the internet or possibly one of the liberal-biased media outlets.
I live by a quote my dad, a hardcore conservative Republican said, "Have you ever seen a poor man give a man a job?"
So you think it's fine if companies pay zero taxes and even get money back from the government? And that despite record profits don't hire new people, knowing they can overwork the desperate employees they have?
Taxes now are higher on corporations than ever before. The real wealthy people that pay no taxes (warren buffet, George Soros, bill gates, etc) are not only all liberal, but are exempt from taxes. Meanwhile, the taxes on businesses of all sizes have no choice but to flee to other nations or shut down because of the oppressiveness of the United States government. It's all a game and we don't even qualify to be pawns. We're the board.
You're so full of horseshit, that right wing talking point has been proven FALSE already [link] . 30 companies have paid no taxes, even get money back from the government [link] The US corporate tax rate is much lower than most other nations [link] . Individual tax rates are some of the lowest in the world [link] . Those "liberals", and more, have called for their taxes to be raised because they've acknowledged taxes for the wealthy are too low. Funny how you didn't mention any rich right wingers, like the Koch brothers who spend millions creating the talking points which have obviously flooded your head, the Walton family, Rupert Murdoch, Erik Prince, T. Boone Pickens, Sheldon Adelson, even your front runner Mitt Romney is worth $250 million and paid 13.9% in taxes. The idea that companies aren't hiring or outsourcing over taxes is absurd, especially when they're making RECORD profits. If anything they're outsourcing because they know they can get cheap labor from places where workers have no real rights, yet they keep their corporate headquarters in america for the tax benefits! Yeah the US government is so oppressive on the wealthy, I feel so sorry for billionaires and their having to decide which yacht to take out today. If you're tired of being walked on, then do something about it, don't just bitch and moan when other people do something about it and you don't agree with the way they're doing it. Although you should probably just start with getting educated in facts.
Right because that's what all the protesters are doing. That's not exaggerating and generalizing at all. But that's difference isn't it, one group is concerned about wealth inequality, fair treatment of workers, a corrupt government. And the other is bitching about made up horseshit or points to one person in a large international movement and dismisses it all.
Yeah, that's why I was reflecting the lame arguments made in the description of this very stamp. Not to mention the other cliches that are so overused. Of course it's easy to use sound bites and talking points when you can't think for yourself.
Nice to see I'm not the only one who thinks so. They are right about the banks, but that's about it. And staging a protest where you refuse to clean up after yourself, urinate on policemen, etc is definitely not a good way to get your point across.
Ohoho, you think you've got it rough... We got exams coming up soon and we've got more projects before then. This is a big ass academy.
I'm probably going to get up out of it before the end of the school year and immediately transfer elsewhere because this school is just... It's been violating policies, but I haven't gotten around to writing a letter to the mayor yet. The school is moving to a new building, but I'm going to at least have a shot at getting the hell out of it and not move with it.
